Short, wide-bellied, and left black from the forge.
The Pabotoy is the knife that lives on a belt. A broad, short blade with a tall bevel, left with its forge scale on the flats and polished only where it cuts. The scale is not decoration: it is the skin the steel grew in the fire, and it keeps rust off the flats.
A hooked horn handle locks the hand in, so the knife can be choked up for fine work or swung from the end for a chop.
