The forward-curved blade that does the work of an axe and a knife, forged in Sikatuna.
A deep belly throws the weight forward, so the blade chops with the momentum of a hatchet and still slices at the tip. The cho, the notch at the base of the edge, is cut by hand and stops the edge grind cleanly short of the handle.
The handle is a single piece of carabao horn turned to a swelling grip and seated with a brass ferrule. The rosewood sheath carries a small companion knife in its own pocket, as the pattern has always done.
